 The Jewish Home  for Rehabilitation and Nursing  in Freehold Township – on behalf of Marquis Health Services, its nursing home consultant – accepted a proclamation from the Township Committee for efforts to support local healthcare professionals during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic.

During the spring, Marquis donated 5,000 disposable isolation gowns at the height of the healthcare industry’s personal protective equipment shortage. The gowns were distributed to Hackensack Meridian’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, and its Riverview Medical Center, Red Bankd, CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, and Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, and nurses with Health Professionals and Allied Employees.

The All Seasons Diner in Freehold Township and the All Seasons Diner in Eatontown are opening their doors to those in need on Thanksgiving. Both diners will offer free meals to guests from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 26. The diners will serve a limited menu, free of charge. Breakfast options include eggs, French toast, pancakes and an omelet, and dinner is roasted turkey and chicken with homemade stuffing, baked ham with fruit sauce, and meatloaf with mushroom gravy, plus sides of sweet yams, turnips and turkey soup. Only walk-ins will be seated; reservations will not be accepted.

 

King Financial Network of Manalapan is hosting its third annual coat drive in partnership with Jersey Cares. Gently used coats and new coats are being sought for individuals and families in New Jersey who are in need. The goal is to collect 425 coats. Coats may be dropped off at King Financial Network’s offices at 198 Route 9 North (corner of Taylors Mills Road), Suite 204, Manalapan, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The coat drive will end Dec. 4. Individuals may call to schedule a pick-up at 732-845-1929.

 

Multi-disciplinary healthcare provider NJ Spine and Wellness has appointed R.J. Brunelli & Co., LLC,  as its exclusive real estate representative for New Jersey. With existing offices in East Brunswick, Freehold, Matawan and Old Bridge, the practice is initially focused on expanding within its central New Jersey home base of Middlesex and Monmouth counties, said R.J. Brunelli CEO and Principal Ron DeLuca, who is managing the account.

“The practice will buy or lease 8,000- to 12,000-square-foot buildings in locations offering high visibility and strong traffic,” DeLuca said. “Freestanding buildings are preferred, but we will also consider endcap locations in shopping centers. In all cases, the sites must offer in excess of 50 parking spaces and be in close proximity to other medical facilities or physicians’ offices.”

Founded in 2013, NJ Spine and Wellness today offers patients a growing team of 45 medical  professionals specializing in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, pain management, chiropractic care, physical therapy, acupuncture, and occupational therapy.

Chelsea Senior Living has conducted more than 23,000 COVID-19 tests of residents and staff members since June 1, nearly eliminating infections in its 21 assisted living residences. Chelsea has maintained a steady level of zero community spread among residents and employees. A handful of individuals are believed to have acquired the virus outside of the buildings. Residents who have tested positive were isolated in their apartment until they tested negative. Chelsea plans to continue its safety protocols indefinitely as preparations continue to manufacture and distribute vaccines.

 

Frances Keane, CentraState Healthcare System’s vice president and chief human resource officer, received the Athena Leadership Award from the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce at a virtual event on Nov. 6.

Individuals nominated for Athena Awards must demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their profession, provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for those in their community, and actively assist women in achieving their full leadership potential.

“I am overwhelmed by this honor and grateful to the chamber for choosing me as this year’s recipient,” Keane said. “I have always been so impressed with the Athena organization’s focus on empowering women and I am proud to stand among so many other incredible nominees and winners.”
