Democrats retain control of North Brunswick Township Council

NORTH BRUNSWICK – Facing no opposition in the Township Council race, Democratic incumbent Councilman Robert “Bob” Davis and Democratic incumbent Councilwoman Claribel Cortes were appointed to their seventh and second terms, respectively.

During the Nov. 3 general election, Cortes received 13,765 votes and Davis received 13,659 votes in the uncontested race.

There were 399 write-in votes.

The election results were certified by the Middlesex County Clerk’s Office on Nov. 20.

The candidates could not be reached for comment by press time.
