Hindu Swayamsevak Sangha to collect food donations at Woodlot Park

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangha, Kendall Park chapter, will hold a drive through food donation event benefiting the South Brunswick Food Pantry from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 28 at Woodlot Park, 124 New Road, South Brunswick.

Canned fruits, canned vegetables, rice, quinoa, cereal, pasta sauce, peanut butter, juice, soups, ketchup and oatmeal are most requested.

SewaDiwali (Diwali food drive) is an initiative by a group of organizations and individuals who believe in Sewa Dharma, i.e. “Service to Humanity is Service to Divinity.” The food drive is conducted annually during the festival of Diwali, which signifies light over darkness.
