There’s a new way for people to enjoy a socially-distanced winter holiday season: take a guided, self-guided or virtual tour through downtown Bordentown.

Hear festive holiday stories of the town’s past while enjoying sparkling holiday lights and charming architecture through the Bordentown Lights & Architecture Tour.

Houses along the route are encouraged to decorate for a chance to win a prize. Voted on by tour takers, Bordentown Walking Tours will award $100 to the winning home.

“We’re excited to present an opportunity to bring joy and comfort to people in what has been an otherwise difficult year,” Mark Neurohr-Pierpaoli, Bordentown Walking Tours owner and guide, said in a prepared statement.

To enjoy The Bordentown Lights & Architecture Tour in person, reserve a ticket at bordentownwalkingtours.com.

To experience the same tour in a self-guided or virtual format, find the holiday tour in the free Built Story app, found on both Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app provides walking directions to each of Neurohr-Pierpaoli’s tour stops, and delivers special video clips, photos and text from him at each location along his route. Enjoy the self-guided and virtual walking tour free, for a limited time.

Founded in 2018, Bordentown Walking Tours offers options throughout the year: A Lovers Lane History Tour around Valentine’s Day, specialty holiday tours in December, as well as year-round haunted (and not so haunted) history tours. For more information, visit bordentownwalkingtours.com
