In his Christmas message to the armed forces on Dec. 13, 1961, President John F. Kennedy said, “Christmas expresses the deepest hopes for a world of peace where love rather than mistrust will flourish between neighbors.”

In this holiday season of 2020, John F. Kennedy’s message of “love rather than mistrust” is more important than ever. Americans of all faiths must come together and treat each other with respect and dignity.

Such decent behavior would be a great holiday gift for all, and one more way to honor the memory of JFK.
