For all customers who kept their memberships open while the spa was temporarily closed due to COVID-19, the owners of the Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Howell, Manalapan, Toms River, Old Bridge and Bayonne donated gift cards to local healthcare workers.

As the owners of a business dedicated to improving the health and wellness of its customers, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa multi-unit franchisees Nicholas Marco, Mike Masco and Tara Bogota set out to give back to those on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.

The three own the Howell, Manalapan, Toms River, Old Bridge and Bayonne Hand & Stone locations and recently donated more than $500,000 in gift cards to local healthcare workers with the help of their members, according to a press release.

When all five of their spa locations were forced to temporarily close in March, the business owners decided to find a way to keep the businesses afloat while also giving back to the communities they call home. For every client who kept their membership going while their spa was closed, the owners donated a Hand & Stone gift card to local healthcare workers.

Gift cards were given to front-line healthcare workers at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, and to the Jersey City Medical Center-RWJ Barnabas Health COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room, according to the press release.
