Residents, businesses encouraged to illuminate buildings on Jan. 19 in honor of lives lost to COVID

East Brunswick Township will join a nationwide memorial tribute to remember and honor the lives lost to COVID-19.

At 5:30 p.m. Jan. 19, township buildings will be illuminated or have on inside lights for five minutes.

Businesses, organizations and residences are encouraged to illuminate their buildings or light a candle inside.

Places of worship can ring their bells at 5:30 p.m. for five minutes.

The tribute coincides with a ceremony in Washington, D.C., that lights the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
