The Hillsborough Democratic Organization has officially launched a candidate search for the November 2021 Hillsborough Township Committee election.

“With Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House, and an all-Democratic County Commission, we will be able to accomplish more for the people of Hillsborough, especially as we get more Democrats elected,” Hillsborough Democratic Committee Chairman Bill Dondiego said in a statement released on Feb. 1. “Note, Gov. Phil Murphy will be at the top of the ticket in November.

“Even if you have never considered running for office before, or have been on the fence, now is the time to get off the sidelines and make an impact. I encourage anyone who is interested to learn more about this remarkable opportunity to help build an even better Hillsborough,” Dondiego said.

Two township committee seats are on the ballot this fall. Committeewoman Olivia Holmes is running for reelection.

“I would encourage anyone who is interested in running to reach out and learn more about this remarkable opportunity to help build an even better Hillsborough,” Holmes said.

Interested persons should send a resume and letter of interest to Dondiego at chair@borodems.org by Feb. 15. All qualified persons will be considered by the Hillsborough Democratic Organization Candidate Screening Committee.

Send questions to chair@borodems.org or call Dondiego at 908-208-3865.
