EATONTOWN – Members of the Eatontown Borough Council have authorized contracts for professional services during 2021.
On Feb. 10, council members authorized three professional services contracts that total $16,011. Each contract took effect on Jan. 1 and will run through Dec. 31.
According to a resolution, the first contract totals $9,375 and is for architectural services to be provided by Settembrino Architects.
The second contract is for tax appraiser (tax appeals) services from Gagliano and Company in the amount of $4,500.
The third contract is in the amount of $2,136 and is with Gluck Walrath for bond attorney services.
The appointment of each professional was previously made effective by council members during their annual reorganization meeting on Jan. 1, according to the resolution.
Each contract was reviewed and approved by Borough Attorney Andrew Bayer and Interim Borough Administrator William P. Lucia III.
In other business, the council members introduced an ordinance that will, if adopted, change fees for the Eatontown Community Center.
The ordinance proposes to increase the fee for a five-day pre-kindergarten program for non-residents (per month) from $330 to $360; a five-day pre-kindergarten program for residents (per month) from $300 to $330; a three-day pre-kindergarten program for non-residents (per month) from $220 to $240; a three-day pre-kindergarten program for residents (per month) from $190 to $200; summer camp (per week session) from $150 to $165; and youth dances from $5 to $10 per dance.
The ordinance would eliminate a $160 fee for a two-day pre-kindergarten program for non-residents and a $135 fee for a two-day pre-kindergarten program for residents, and add a $6 per hour fee for aftercare,
A public hearing on the ordinance is scheduled for Feb. 24. The council members may adopt the ordinance that evening.
