North Brunswick celebrates Women’s History Month

 

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Township of North Brunswick joins the Historical Society in recognizing many women who have played a vital and impactful role in our community.

 

These 12 women have all been previously bestowed with the Heritage Award, the township’s highest honor, in recognition of their tremendous volunteer service:

Ruth Supp, founding president of the North Brunswick Woman’s Club;

Christine Krauss, member and former president of the Board of Education;

Mary Slye, Care to Walk co-founder;

Ann Marie Chandlee, leading volunteer and Heritage Day chair;

Gloria Zastko, business leader;

Mary Pinkham, community activist;

Cynthia Baumgartner, domestic violence prevention advocate;

Marietta St. John, hospital volunteer;

Connie Adamo, 50-year community volunteer;

Jocelyn Caffrey, animal rescue advocate and community theatre member;

Kathy Aruta, North Brunswick Community Food Bank manager;

Laura Pelszynski, school system volunteer.
