Parents for In-Person School will hold a really at 1 p.m. March 13 at Terhune Park on Main Street in Matawan to support efforts for children to return to schools in all districts on a full-time basis as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

In a press release, the group said many districts still face hurdles to get schools fully open for in-person instruction five days a week.

Dianna Pell, an advocate for Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District students and the founder of Parents for In-Person School, was quoted in the press release stating, “We know there are many districts in the surrounding area that have not progressed the way we have. We stand with them to show our support.

“We want this rally to be an upbeat atmosphere. We hope families will come and get to know each other, learn from each other, share stories of how this past year has affected them and support each other,” Pell said.
