Jason Nicholas of Boy Scout Troop 501 in East Brunswick led a scrap metal donation drive for his Eagle Scout fundraising project on March 13. Donations from the public were sorted by Jason and other scout volunteers to fill a 40-yard dumpster. Proceeds from the sale of the scrap metal will support a project aiding wildlife via The Raptor Trust, a bird rehabilitation and education center located in Basking Ridge. Twenty-four nesting boxes - 12 raptors and 12 songbirds - will be built from the proceeds. For more information about Troop 501, email BSATroop501NJ@gmail.com
