South River police confirm more than 1,500 positive COVID-19 cases since pandemic began last March

SOUTH RIVER–The South River Police Department has been notified by the Middlesex County Health Department that 1,567 total residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020.

Twenty-three borough residents have passed away due to COVID-19 since last March.
