An undisclosed amount of cash was reportedly stolen from a Rabbit Hill Road residence after a burglar entered the house and ransacked it March 15. There were no signs of forced entry, but police found a rear sliding door ajar and the basement entry door was unlocked, according to reports. The burglar forced open a locked bedroom door, damaging the door and the frame.
A Glen Spey, New York, man was charged with receiving stolen property for having a trailer in his possession that had been reported stolen from an independent rental business in Colorado. Police observed a Dodge Ram pickup truck, lacking registration, parked at the Clarion Hotel on Route 1 on March 14. During the investigation, police learned that the man rented the trailer, which had a Colorado registration, and was towing it on the pickup truck, according to reports. The man, who was located in a room at the hotel, allegedly did not return it.
A West Windsor man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was observed stopping at green lights, failing to signal lane changes and failing to stay in his lane of travel on Route 1 on March 9.
A Morrisville, Pennsylvania, man was charged with defiant trespass and possession of a hypodermic needle after he was observed allegedly panhandling for money at the Whole Foods Market on Route 1 on March 9. He had previously been told to stay away from the store following a similar incident that occurred March 1, according to reports. While he was being placed under arrest for the March 9 incident, police allegedly found him to be in possession of a hypodermic needle.
Someone allegedly entered an unlocked car that was parked in the parking lot outside Orangetheory Fitness on Princeton-Hightstown Road, rummaged through it and stole a wallet that contained cash and credit cards on March 7.
A Hamilton Township man was charged with shoplifting for taking a container of baby formula, valued at $52.99, and a lesser priced item at the Target store on Nassau Park Boulevard. He allegedly paid for the lower-priced item, but not the baby formula, at a self-checkout booth, according to police. He took the formula out to his car and came back into the store to return the lower-priced item in the March 6 incident, police said.
A Princeton man was charged with driving while intoxicated and his passenger, who lives in Princeton, was charged with possession of cocaine after their pickup truck was stopped for failing to stay in its lane on March 5. The passenger allegedly had a clear plastic baggy containing cocaine. Police also found open containers of beer in the vehicle, according to the allegations.
