The South Brunswick Senior Center’s Senior Garden’s opening day was May 10. The public works department worked to build beds, build a water source and level the ground so that  the seniors can enjoy gardening all season long.

Amogh Joshi, a high school junior, created a giving plot and will donate his bounty to the food pantry.

Junior Troop 80224 created baskets with gardening supplies and inspirational painted rocks.

In attendance were acting township Manager Bryan Bidlock; gardeners Barbara Lee, Coleen Schafler, Elaine Byczkowski, Edy Nolan, Syed Imteaz Rizvi, Richard Cleary, Satua Agarwal, Susan Trilli, Tirath Kairon, Pathmini Thana, Ginger Haber and Mary Shamy; and Jeanne Wert, director of Social Services, which runs the food pantry.
