Christina Chueiri of Englishtown was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Christina was initiated at the State University of New York, Cortland, N.Y.

Himani Jani of Marlboro was among more than 135 undergraduate and graduate students who showcased their research and creative scholarly work at New York Tech’s annual Symposium of University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE) held virtually on April 23. SOURCE highlights student-faculty collaborations and interdisciplinary education. Himani is studying osteopathic medicine at the school in Old Westbury, N.Y.

The Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., mock trial squad advanced to the second round of the American Mock Trial Association’s annual national tournament. Tyler Mercado of Marlboro is a member of the team, which is in its second year.

Rutgers University, New Brunswick, students were recently recognized for their academic achievements in Jewish studies at a virtual end-of-year celebration and awards ceremony. Ilana Berkman of Manalapan, a member of the Class of 2022, was among the students who were recognized. The annual awards ceremony is sponsored by the Department of Jewish Studies and the Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Belmont University, Nashville, Tenn., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the Spring 2021 semester: Rachel Giuffrida of Morganville and Liam O’Brien of Freehold.

Evan Samuel Hymanson of Morganville earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with distinction from the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Neb., during commencement exercises May 7-8, 2021.

York College of Pennsylvania music production and entrepreneurship student Alexa Scranton of Freehold was recognized for the WVYC Radio Station Award and for the Student Senate Service Award during the college’s 2021 Recognition Ceremony.

Landon Goldman of Morganville was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Landon was initiated at the University of Delaware, Newark, Del.
