Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, N.H., has named Steven Cognata of Colts Neck and Jacob Ercolano of Freehold to the Winter 2021 dean’s list. The winter term runs from January to May.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., dancers shared their creativity through movement, as the Muhlenberg Dance Program and the Muhlenberg Dance Association collaborated to present “Ephemerality: Dances In Time,” a showcase for dance works created by student and faculty choreographers, April 16-18, 2021. Many students, including Mackenzie Schultz of Colts Neck, joined together to make the event possible.

Lindsey Soares of Colts Neck earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). The university held a virtual stateside commencement on May 15 for more than 5,500 graduates of the Class of 2021.

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, N.H., has named Angela Tycenski of Morganville, Brendan Brock of Marlboro, Charles Kirman of Freehold and Samantha Goldberg of Morganville to the Winter 2021 president’s list (GPA of 3.7 and above). The winter term runs from January to May.

Nicole Mormando of Manalapan, a student at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn., was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the national communication association’s official honor society, during a recent virtual ceremony.

Aine O’Sullivan of Freehold has been named to the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, Spring 2021 dean’s list. Aine’s major is listed as ballet (Bachelor of Fine Arts) and recreational therapy (Bachelor of Science).

Erika Villani of Freehold, a nursing major at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, is one of eight Brookdale students being honored with the Outstanding Student Award for academic excellence, community service and personal accomplishments. While in the nursing program at Brookdale, Erika served on the executive board of the Student Nurse Association and was also a part of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society. She is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

The University of Scranton, Pa., has awarded master’s degrees to the following area residents: Elizabeth P. Rybnicky of Marlboro earned a Master of Science in occupational therapy; and Matthew J. Cuttle of Manalapan earned a Master of Accountancy in accountancy.

The University of Scranton, Pa., announced that the following area residents have graduated: John T. Giordano of Morganville earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history; Alexandra L. Coviello of Colts Neck earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health administration; Raegen Dunn of Freehold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in operations management; Victoria C. Papa of Freehold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing; Michael J. Piscopo of Freehold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting; and Matthew D. Sayuk of Freehold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in operations management.

Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio, student Isabella Schaffer of Manalapan graduated on the weekend of April 30 – May 1, 2021, with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Isabella was named to the dean’s honor list for Spring 2021.

York College of Pennsylvania, York, Pa., has named the following Freehold residents to the dean’s list for the Spring 2021 semester: Amy McGee, a senior criminology and criminal justice major; and Alexa Scranton, a senior music production and entrepreneurship major.

The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., awarded degrees during its spring commencement ceremonies, April 30 through May 2, 2021. The following area residents received a degree: Ryan Cinque of Freehold, Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Information Sciences; Michael Martino of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration; and Claire Studer of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration.
