County to resurface section of Route 612 in Hopewell Township

Due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions, Marshalls Corner Woodsville Road (Route 612) between Pennington-Hopewell Road (Route 654) and Fox Run Road in Hopewell Township is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.

Work is expected to begin Monday, June 7, with an anticipated completion time of approximately two weeks, weather-permitting.

Work will be completed in two phases: The first phase will consist of milling and paving the section of Marshalls Corner Woodsville Road between Pennington-Hopewell Road and Route 31. During this time, Marshalls Corner Woodsville Road will be closed to through traffic. A detour will be posted directing motorists to use Pennington-Hopewell Road and Route 31 North.

The second phase will consist of milling and paving Marshalls Corner Woodsville Road between Fox Run Road and Route 31. Again, Marshalls Corner Woodsville Road will be closed to through traffic, with motorists directed to use Lambertville-Hopewell Road and Route 31 South.

Roadwork and detours will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Access will be permitted for local businesses, residents, and service and emergency vehicles.
