for returning to The Pacific. No offense to barbecues or beach trips, but there was no better way to celebrate Memorial Day than with the net’s holiday re-airing of the 2010 10-part epic World War II limited series that starred James Badge Dale (pictured), a young Rami Malek and a pre–Walking Dead Jon Bernthal. How can you not salute that?
Jeers to Leading Men
we love who are leaving us. First, Regé-Jean Page exited Netflix’s Bridgerton following the steamy first season that made him a hot commodity, and now Theo James (pictured) won’t be returning as Sanditon‘s Sidney Parker after the canceled PBS period drama got a surprise renewal. Guys, you’re only supposed to play heartbreakers!
Jeers to ABC
for causing angry fans to let out a Rebel yell. But hey, that’s what you get when you opt to cancel a show with huge potential (Katey Sagal as a feisty legal advocate based on Erin Brockovich) from a proven rainmaker (Grey’s & Station 19 EP Krista Vernoff) after only five airings. There really oughta be a law.
