Senator Cory Booker, Vinnie Brand, Chef David Burke among presenters who will discuss the ‘next normal’ for Middlesex County

The first webinar for this year’s Business Series, Leading Where We Live, will explore the power of generosity, and highlight those businesses that are digging deep to help their colleagues despite also being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Middlesex County and the community lead together, each panelist will examine what their organizations have learned and offer insights and recommendations on how to make a positive impact and build resilience in the community as we enter the “next normal.”

Senator Cory Booker and Middlesex County Commissioner Chanelle Scott McCullum will serve as guest speakers from 9-10:15 a.m. June 29 via Zoom.

The event will be moderated by Sandy S. Castor, director of the Middlesex County Office of Business Engagement.

Event presenters include: Lindsay Erben, director, The Arts Institute of Middlesex County; Vinnie Brand, comedian and owner of The Stress Factory in New Brunswick; David Burke, owner and restaurateur, Orchard Park Restaurant in East Brunswick; and Pamela Stefanek, executive director, New Brunswick City Center.

This free event is open to the public.

The Business Summit was established over five years ago to connect the business community within Middlesex County with relevant resources available to them. This year’s Business Series will include one additional virtual event, Leading Locally in the 4th Industrial Revolution, on Sept. 9, leading up to Middlesex County’s Annual Business Summit which will be held this fall.

The addition of this mini-series will help illustrate how Middlesex County continues to implement the county’s future-forward economic development strategy as part of a larger strategic planning initiative, Destination 2040.

More information to follow on the upcoming events.
