According to official results posted online by the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office, Triggiano, with 576 votes, and Sturdivant, with 537 votes, won the nominations and will represent the Democratic Party.

Yassin received 524 votes and Maida received 490 votes as they fell short of securing a nomination, according to the clerk’s office.

In an uncontested Republican primary election on June 8, Jonathan Maciel Penney received 265 votes and Christine Stout received 264 votes.

According to the clerk’s office, Suzanne Viscomi filed a nominating petition to run for a seat on the Borough Council as an independent candidate. She did not have to run in a primary election.

Viscomi previously ran for council in 2018, which is the year Triggiano and Yassin were elected to three-year terms.

On the ballot in the Nov. 2 general election will be two three-year terms on the Borough Council. The terms will run from January 2022 through December 2024. Democrats currently hold all six Borough Council seats and the mayor’s office in Red Bank.
