East Brunswick scouts participate in flag retirement ceremony at Old Bridge VFW

VFW Post 7508 in Old Bridge hosted its first Flag Day Retirement Ceremony.

East Brunswick Boy Scout Troop 223 members presented the American flag, the POW flag and the VFW Post flag during the opening ceremony on June 13, while Post Commander Kenneth Cruz led attendees during “Taps” and the Pledge of Allegiance.

More than 200 American flags were retired.
