Rider University named a College of Distinction in seven categories

Rider University has once again been recognized for its commitment to engaged, hands-on education by Colleges of Distinction.
Rider University has once again been recognized for its commitment to engaged, hands-on education by Colleges of Distinction.

In addition to being named to the national list, Rider was named a College of Distinction in New Jersey and recognized in five other categories: business, education, career development, equity and inclusion, and military support.

“We are proud to accept these accolades as a reflection of Rider’s commitment to creating a warm and welcoming community, where the ambition of our students is rewarded with an enriching education and a fulfilling career,” Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs DonnaJean A. Fredeen said in a statement provided by Rider University.

Colleges of Distinction’s long-standing support for student-centered schools focuses on elevating institutions that offer great teaching in a vibrant community and produce engaged students and successful outcomes, according to the statement.

“It’s inspiring to see Rider commit to the learning styles and community involvement that will best allow their students to succeed in and beyond their college years,” Wes Creel, the founder of Colleges of Distinction, said in the statement.
