Edison police to hold C.O.P. chat session July 21

The Edison Police Department's COP unit it focuses on community oriented policing.

The Edison Police Department will hold a C.O.P. chat session at 7 p.m. July 21 near the area of The Coffee House, 931 Amboy Ave., for an in-person question-and-answer session.

This session will afford Edison residents the opportunity to pose questions to the Edison Police Department and Edison Township administrators to receive an answer to issues they may have.

Those who cannot attend the session can email questions or issues to COP@edisonpd.org by 5 p.m. July 21.

The session will be aired on social media platforms after recording.

In addition to the C.O.P. (Community Oriented Policing) Chat, information which may be made available through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter will include: road closures, upcoming events, requests for assistance from the public, noteworthy arrests, employment opportunities, press releases and recent crime information.
