Montgomery police investigate car burglaries, thefts

The Montgomery Township Police Department is investigating a series of burglaries and thefts – including the theft of a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee – that occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 6.

In addition to the Jeep, the thieves took an EZ Pass, cash, a laptop computer and Beats headphones.

All of the cars had been left unlocked in their owners’ driveway, police said.

The burglaries and thefts were reported by residents on Brandywine Road, Tall Cedar Court, Concord Lane, Sleepy Hollow Lane, Whispering Lane and Fox Chase Lane, police said.

Police are urging residents to remove valuables from their cars and to lock the cars. Residents also should report suspicious persons in their neighborhood immediately.
