School bus driving in Montgomery hits Honda driven by Lawrence Township woman

A collision between a school bus and a Honda sport utility vehicle resulted in the school bus driver being issued a summons for improper backing in the Aug. 3 crash, according to the Montgomery Township Police Department.

The 80-year-old school bus driver, who lives in Trenton, was traveling on Country Club Drive and missed his turn onto Sandpiper Court.

As he attempted to back up to make the turn onto Sandpiper Court, the bus struck the front of a Honda CRV driven by a Lawrence Township woman.

No injuries were reported to the passengers on the school bus, the school bus driver or the driver of the Honda CRV, police said. The school bus and the Honda CRV were able to be driven from the scene.
