Jamesburg appoints new business administrator

JAMESBURG–The Jamesburg Borough Council approved a resolution appointing Michael Capabianco as the municipality’s new borough administrator.

Mayor Marlene Lowande said former Borough Administrator Scott Frueh resigned from his position.

“We wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” Lowande said.

Lowande said Frueh was the borough administrator for the last five years.

Capabianco, of Holmdel, was approved for the following salary levels:

  • From the date of appointment through Dec. 31, 2022: $105,000.
  • From Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2023: $108,000.
  • From Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024: $115,000.
  • For periods beyond Dec. 31, 2024, any new salary levels will be
    subject to negotiations and will be set by resolution and agreement at that
    time.

“Michael Capabianco is our new business administrator and acting chief financial officer. He has [more than] 20 years of experience in municipal government. We all look forward to working with him. He was appointed at the special council meeting on Aug. 7,” Lowande said.
