Wawa Hoagies for Heroes competition donates funds to Edison first responders

Police officers and firefighters, Wawa officials and associates, customers and Wawa’s mascot Wally Goose joined a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Aug. 19 at the Edison location at 580 Route 1.

A charitable Hoagies for Heroes hoagie-building competition featuring the Edison Police Department, Edison Fire Department and USO was accompanied by $1,000 donations given to each charity selected by the participants.
