Veronica (Roni) Rasky, 81, passed away Tuesday August 17 under Hospice Care at Jersey Shore Medical Center. She was born in New Brunswick and resided in Highland Park, NJ. She raised her family for 44 years in Hillsborough, NJ before retiring to Lake Como, NJ.
Roni was an RN, LPN and longtime Director of Nursing at Foothill Acres Nursing Homes. She is survived by Joseph R Rasky, her loving husband of 63 years, her children Doreen Hill (Brian), Richard (Kirsten) and Laura Beth Kupsch (Glenn), her grandchildren Katherine (Will), Nicole, Joseph R III, Rebecca, Alex, Evan and Brendon, her brother Gregory (Pat) and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Roni was a fantastic Hungarian and Italian cook; friends and family enjoyed her many dishes. She loved crafts and many different aspects of painting, gardening owers, fruits and vegetables. Roni vacationed for over 40 years in Lake George with all her family. She loved playing Tiger Woods Wii golf with her husband and beating him whenever possible.
In retirement, Roni and Joe enjoyed many travels to Puerto Rico, Hilton Head and many other states and countries. Most notable was their Danube River Cruise which ended in Budapest.
Veronica is preceded in death by her parents John and Helen (Klacik) Ritz and her siblings John (Butch) and Kathleen.
Visitation is at Oceanside Memorial in Belmar on Sunday, August 22 from 3 to 7 and 10 to 11 on Monday, August 23 with a service following at 11am.
