SHOWTIME will premiere the new series American Rust, starring Emmy winner Jeff Daniels and Emmy nominee Maura Tierney, on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Based on Philipp Meyer’s celebrated debut novel, the series is a compelling family drama and a timeless story of wanting a brighter future while being held prisoner by the past. The story of survival and transcendence is told through the eyes of Del Harris (Daniels), the complicated and compromised chief of police in a Pennsylvania Rust Belt town full of good people making bad choices. When news of a murder rips through the town, Harris must decide what lengths he is willing to take to protect the son of the woman he loves (Tierney). Also starring are Bill Camp, David Alvarez, Alex Neustaedter, Julia Mayorga, Mark Pellegrino and Rob Yang.

The third season of truTV’s blazing-hot firefighter comedy Tacoma FD will premiere on Thursday, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m. ET. The scripted series returns with 13 episodes as the crew deals with all new shenanigans including quarantines, prank wars, upgrades to Station 24 and the annual Pickleball Tournament. The series is set in a firehouse in one of America’s rainiest cities. These firefighters keep themselves entertained with creative competitions, friendly first responder rivalries and no shortage of bizarre emergency calls. Chief Terry McConky (Kevin Heffernan) and Captain Eddie Penisi (Steve Lemme) lead the firehouse antics and are joined by an eclectic crew played by Eugene Cordero (Andy), Marcus Henderson (Granny), Gabriel Hogan (Ike), and Hassie Harrison (Lucy).

FOX will premiere its new series The Big Leap on Monday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series is a modern tale about second chances, chasing your dreams and taking back what’s yours. The show revolves around a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters attempting to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of “Swan Lake.” Inspired by a U.K. reality format, this series is an innovative show-within-a-show that takes viewers on a journey of self-acceptance and empowerment at any age. Starring are Scott Foley, Teri Polo, Piper Perabo, newcomer Simone Recasner, Ser’Darius Blain, Jon Rudnitsky, Raymond Cham Jr., Mallory Jansen, Kevin Daniels and Anna Grace Barlow.
