The Manalapan Police Department has reported three incidents involving motor vehicles that occurred on Aug. 26.

On Aug. 26 at 6:45 a.m., a resident reported that unknown individuals stole a 2014
Mercedes Benz E350 valued at approximately $15,000 from a Gramercy Lane
residence. Gramercy Lane is off Sweetmans Lane.

On Aug. 26 at 9:40 a.m., a resident reported that unknown individuals entered a vehicle
while it was parked in the driveway of a home on Rifkin Court. Rifkin Court is off Smithburg Road. The individuals entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a pair of sunglasses valued at $200.

On Aug. 26 at 10:05 a.m., a resident reported that unknown individuals entered a
residence and vehicles on Rifkin Court. Rifkin Court is off Smithburg Road. The individuals entered an open garage door and then entered unlocked vehicles which were parked in the garage. No items were reported to be missing.

 

The Monmouth Vicinage, in partnership with the Monmouth Bar Association, is hosting an art exhibit at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Road, Manalapan, in celebration of Constitution and Citizenship Day.

The exhibit features submissions from elementary school students who were selected as winners of the Monmouth Vicinage Law Day 2021 Art Contest, according to a press release.

Artwork will be displayed in the library lobby during September. The exhibit is free and open to the public during library hours, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

This year, the Monmouth Vicinage Law Day 2021 Art Contest received 71 artwork submissions from seven local elementary schools. The winning artwork expressed the topics of unity and fairness.

 

The community is invited to an open-air concert, “An Afternoon of Song,” with Bethe Burns and Vic Schioppo on Sept. 18 from 4-5:30 p.m. (rain date, Sept. 19, 4-5:30 p.m.).

This musical program will be presented by Center Players of Freehold and the Freehold Township Heritage Society Arts Program. It will be performed on the outdoor pavilion stage at the Oakley Farm and Museum, 189 Wemrock Road, Freehold Township.

Audience members may bring their own chairs as seating will be on the lawn. The performance is for all ages. There is no charge, but a suggested donation of $5 would be appreciated and all donations will benefit the Heritage Society. Tours of the historic farmhouse museum will be available.
