Several streets in Princeton will be repaved

A Farmingdale company has been awarded a contract for $1.48 million by the Princeton Council to pave several streets scattered throughout Princeton.

Earle Asphalt Co. was awarded the contract by the Princeton Council at its Aug. 23 meeting. It was one of seven bidders for the town’s road program.

Earle Asphalt Co.’s bid of $1.48 million was $253,635 lower than the Princeton Municipal Engineer’s estimate of $1.73 million.

The seven bids ranged from Earle Asphalt Co.’s low bid of $1.48 million to the highest bid – at $1.94 million – submitted by S. Brothers Inc.

The streets to be paved under the contract include Jefferson Road, between Franklin Avenue and Mount Lucas Road; Henry Avenue, between Witherspoon Street and Jefferson Road; and All Saints Road.

Also on the list are The Great Road, between Stuart Road and The Great Road East; Haslet Avenue and Newlin Road, in the Institute for Advanced Study neighborhood; and Heather Lane.

Crooked Tree Lane, Woods Way and Beech Hill Circle are included on the list of streets to be paved.
