South Brunswick issued the following updates on the Ridge Road construction project.

The road project in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick will not close the road tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 14. The road will be open for normal traffic with construction taking place off the roadway.

Instead, on Wednesday, Sept. 15, the road work will be on the road and require some closure. It is anticipated that Ridge Road between Route 522 to New Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Traffic attempting to go to South Brunswick High School in the morning should use Route 522 to Stouts Lane.

After noon, the Ridge Road closure should extend from Route 522 to Monmouth Drive.

On Thursday, Sept. 16, the road work will again require the closure of Ridge Road between Route 522 and Monmouth Drive.

Traffic to all homes and businesses will be available but limited at times.

Vehicles cannot be parked in the street during work hours.

Detours will be posted and officers will be posted to assist residents. Follow all road signs and obey the direction of police officers and other traffic control personnel.

Use Route 522 as an alternative to getting around the area.

This plan is subject to change based on weather conditions.
