In Cranbury Township, free rabies vaccines were administered on Sept. 18 to 40 cats and dogs.

The rabies clinic, which took place at the Cranbury Fire House at 2 South Main St., administered the vaccines dogs and cats from around Middlesex County.

Laura Zurfluh said this was the first free rabies clinic for Cranbury since January 2020.

“We cancelled two due to the pandemic. We have them twice yearly, and will be having another rabies clinic just in time for dog and cat licensing in January,” she said.

The Cranbury Board of Health ran the free rabies clinic with Jean Golisano from Cranbury Township and Animal Control Officer Jerry Thorne.
