North Brunswick Township Schools Acting Superintendent Janet Ciarrocca, North Brunswick Township Middle School Principal Rick Selover and North Brunswick Township Council Member Amanda Guadagnino presented a donation to North Brunswick Food Bank Director Kathy Aruta on Oct. 19.

The food bank suffered the loss of its food supply and location on Sept. 1 when Tropical Storm Ida passed through New Jersey and flooding hit the North Brunswick Municipal Building.

Selover, a township resident, spearheaded a district-wide jean’s day to support the food bank in September.

North Brunswick Township staff donated over $3,200 to support the food bank as volunteers continue to provide food and services to the North Brunswick community.

The North Brunswick Food Bank is accepting food, gift cards and monetary donations to help build the inventory of food lost due to the storm. Donations can be dropped off at the North Brunswick Senior Center, 15 Linwood Place, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

North Brunswick Food Bank distribution takes place on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.
