A call for help to find his car in the parking lot on Twin Rivers Drive North resulted in drug charges being filed against a 25-year-old East Windsor man Oct. 23. A police officer located the man’s car and notice drug paraphernalia in plain view in the car. The man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle.

A 23-year-old man from The Bronx, N.Y., who was stopped by police for failing to observe a traffic signal on Route 130 at Hankins Road Oct. 22, was charged with receiving stolen property. An investigation revealed that the license plate on the car was fictitious and that the car had been reported stolen from New York City. The man was charged with failure to observe a traffic signal, having fictitious license plates and failure to exhibit a driver’s license.

A man who was shouting obscenities at tenants at the Colonade Motel in the parking lot on Route 130 was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing justice and harassment in the Oct. 25 incident. He refused to return to his room, and tried to run away after he was handcuffed by police.

A 49-year-old Jamesburg resident was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, having unsafe tires and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance after a police officer was dispatched to investigate a report of a car driving on its rim Oct. 24. The officer observed a car driving on its rim in the area of Route 130 and Hickory Corner Road and stopped the driver. The driver showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.
