He has held senior administrative positions in both public and private school settings and has extensive experience serving students with special needs.

Cancelliere’s recent positions have included director of Special Services, principal and superintendent of schools in Palmyra School District, executive director of Hampton Academy in Mount Holly, and interim principal of Mercer County Special Services School District in Hamilton.

“Mr. Cancelliere’s experience aligns well with The Titusville Academy’s 50-year history of meeting the learning and behavioral needs of our students,” Deborah R. Zerbib, executive director, said in a statement provided by Considine Communications Strategies. “In addition to having a broad understanding of psychiatric, mental health and behavioral issues in students, he also has significant experience working with many of the sending school districts with which we have long-term relationships.”

About his new position, Cancelliere said in the statement, “I’ve been very impressed with the commitment of the staff here at Titusville Academy, and their ability to meet the various needs of each student. I’m eager to share my skills and experience as a member of the school community and am looking forward to working with the students, parents and staff to ensure every child’s success.”

The Titusville Academy is a New Jersey state-approved coeducational private school located in Hopewell, serving students ages 5-21 with learning and behavioral difficulties. Students are placed by their local school district and attend at no cost to parents. The school provides a noncompetitive, individualized educational experience for children in grades 1-12. The academic program prepares students for college, technical training, military service, and direct entry into the workplace. To learn more, visit https://titusvilleacademy.org/
