Former board member, two newcomers in the lead for three seats on Old Bridge Board of Education

There were elections for the three, three-year terms available on the Old Bridge Board of Education on Nov. 2.

The race is contested.

The seven candidates include three incumbents, Salvatore DiPrima, Richard J. Dunn and Kelly Ellis-Foster; former board member Lisa Lent; and three newcomers, Darin Accettulli, Leonardo Marchetta and Jay D. Slade.

As of press time on Nov. 4, Lent, with 5,542 votes, Marchetta, with 5,384 votes, and Slade, with 5,372 votes, are in the lead.

Ellis-Foster follows with 4,273 votes, Dunn is next with 3,933 votes, DiPrima received 3,814 votes, and Accettulli received 3,135 votes.

There were 129 write-in votes.

The results reflect what has been posted online by the Middlesex County Clerk’s Office at this time.

The results of the election will remain unofficial until they are certified.
