‘Best Schools Around’ ticket is in the lead for three seats on the Woodbridge Board of Education

There were elections for three, three-year seats on the Woodbridge Board of Education on Nov. 2.

The race is contested.

The candidates include two incumbents – Susan Bourdin and Daniel Harris – and three newcomers – Amber Jarrett, Thomas E. Maras and Jenny Perez.

As of Nov. 3, Harris, with 7,884 votes, or 23.64%, Perez, with 6,959 votes, or 20.87%, and Bourdin, with 6,876 votes, or 20.62%, are in the lead. The three candidates ran on the “Best Schools Around” ticket.

Jarret follows with 5,790 votes, or 17.36%, and Maras received 5,632 votes, or 16.89%.

There were 203 write-in votes.

The results reflect what has been posted online by the Middlesex County Clerk’s Office at this time.

The results of the election will remain unofficial until they are certified.
