Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County (JFS Middlesex) offers an array of responsive programs empowering individuals and families to achieve holistic wellness. Services include the Career Center, Immigration and Citizenship, Kosher Food Pantries, Mental Health Counseling, Senior and Holocaust Survivor Services, and the Women’s Center.
Established in 1969, JFS initially served a small, primarily Jewish community in northern Middlesex County. In the last 50 years, JFS has expanded throughout the entire county and beyond, now helping people of all religions, ethnicities and backgrounds.
Reaching the end of a lease for the former Milltown office, JFS had outgrown its space. The new Blackhorse Lane office in North Brunswick is larger and more modern, offering additional space for meetings, parking and the kosher food pantry.
JFS has begun offering citizenship classes Tuesday evenings in the new location. They also plan to host computer classes through the Career and Women’s centers.
Additionally, throughout the county, JFS is now providing in-person senior social groups and luncheons, citizenship classes at several libraries, and Senior Medicare Patrol presentations.
