The Freehold Borough K-8 School District Board of Education will seek to fill a vacant seat on the nine-member panel following the anticipated departure of a member.
District administrators said board member Tyler Jordan is resigning from his position. Jordan joined the board in 2017.
Board members are scheduled to interview candidates seeking the position during a public meeting on Dec. 13. The individual appointed to the seat will serve the remainder of Jordan’s term, which will end on Dec. 31, 2022.
Only Freehold Borough residents may apply for the appointment. CentraState Medical Center has announced that Dr. Alexander Itskovich, a board-certified and fellowship-trained hepatobiliary and advanced gastrointestinal surgeon, is the new medical director of the Statesir Cancer Center.
In his new role, Itskovich will lead the effort to collaborate with medical staff and administrative leaders to further the cancer center’s vision of providing the highest level of clinical cancer care and expanding its patient-focused approach, according to a press release.
Specializing in robotic and laparoscopic surgical treatments for liver, pancreatic, bile duct and GI cancers, Itskovich’s expertise in these complex surgeries will be available to patients. He is also certified in robotic surgery using the da Vinci Surgical System, according to the press release.
He has research interest in pancreatic cysts and will be introducing clinical trials on this topic to CentraState in the next quarter. In addition, he has authored several book chapters on hepatobiliary disease as well as surgical quality and patient safety, according to the press release.
In addition to English, he is also fluent in Hungarian and Russian.
Springpoint Living at Manalapan, a new Springpoint assisted living and memory care community, has named Gary Lessing its director of food services.
Lessing will oversee the dining services team to provide a variety of dining selections that promote healthy living for seniors, including a Mediterranean-style menu with heart healthy meals, plant based options and other special dietary accommodations, according to a press release.
Lessing joins Springpoint Living at Manalapan after recently directing culinary services at Care One in Hamilton and East Brunswick, and The Clare Estate in Bordentown, according to the press release.
