Voters have returned two incumbent members to the governing body, and voted in a newcomer to sit on the East Windsor Township Council, based on certified vote tallies.

Incumbents Denise Daniels and Alan Rosenberg and their running mate, David Russell – all Democrats – pushed back a challenge from Republican Party nominee Anna Lustenberg, who had served on the council in the mid-1990s.

Rosenberg was the top vote-getter with 4,875 votes, followed by Russell with 4,835 votes, and Daniels, who received 4,810 votes, based on certified vote tallies released by Mercer County Nov. 19.

Lustenberg received 2,539 votes.

The certified vote tallies included early voting, Election Day voting on Nov. 2, mail-in ballots and provisional ballots.

Daniels, Rosenberg and Russell will be sworn into office for four-year terms when the East Windsor Township Council reorganizes in January 2022.
