According to a press release, the program will look at how an industry dominated by Jewish executives and creative talents have depicted Jews from the silent era to the present.
Kenrick has worked in the theater at every level from amateur to Broadway, eventually serving as a personal assistant to producers, including the team behind the original production of “Rent.” He is the creator of the educational website Musicals101.com and his books include “Musical Theatre: A History,” which recently received a new 10th anniversary edition, according to the press release.
The Monmouth County Audubon Society (MCAS) has announced a new grant program to promote bird conservation in Monmouth County.
The MCAS Bird Conservation Grant Program will award a maximum of $3,000 in grants in early 2022. The maximum amount provided per proposal will be $1,500 ($150 is the minimum), according to a press release.
All nonprofit 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) organizations, as well as any of Monmouth County’s municipal environmental commissions, are eligible to apply and are welcome to apply for, and receive, more than one grant per cycle. Projects must be located within the county and environmental commissions are only eligible if they represent a municipality within Monmouth County and have been established by ordinance, according to the press release.

The award-winning Monmouth Civic Chorus will present “Hallelujah: Together Again for the Holidays” at 4 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Count Basie Center for the Arts, 99 Monmouth St., Red Bank.
This year’s program will feature cherished selections from Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Mass in B minor, intertwined with stirring original settings of holiday classics like “Deck the Halls” and “Auld Lang Syne,” according to a press release.
The chorus will be joined by guest soloist soprano Justine Aronson.
Tickets for premium seating are $45 for adults; $40 for seniors; $35 for groups of 10 or more); and $15 for students. Tickets for regular seating are $30 for adults; $27 for seniors; $25 for groups; and $10 for students.
