Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C., recognized nearly 350 students during its in-person Summer 2021 commencement ceremony, held Aug. 6, at the HTC Center. Among the graduates were Samuel Floyd of Howell, a recreation and sport management major; and Anthony Cowen of Jackson, an exercise and sport science major.

Kelsey Donmoyer of Jackson was recently initiated into the High Point University, High Point, N.C., Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. The society welcomed 350 new initiates from 17 universities during October 2021. Students initiated into the society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate/professional students in the top 35% of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars, and embrace the Omicron Delta Kappa ideals. Fewer than 5% of students on a campus are invited to join each year.
