For 10 years, small local businesses in many specialties and industries have enjoyed shared success as members of LeTip of Manalapan. A chapter of the world’s largest privately owned professional business referral network LeTip International Inc., LeTip of Manalapan celebrates its 10th anniversary this month.
With 13 members in industries such as finance, real estate, travel and insurance, the goal of the chapter is to help all members reach their business goals through the simple strategy of building relationships and giving referrals, according to a press release.
Current members of LeTip of Manalapan include accountant and business consultant Peter Martin, real estate agent Sheryl Kerner, dentist Thomas Friscia, and others.
“With 10 years of receipts, LeTip of Manalapan members know the role strong networking relationships can serve in helping small businesses grow through genuine referrals,” said Kim Marie Branch-Pettid, CEO and owner of LeTip. “We congratulate our Manalapan members for marking this milestone, especially after such a challenging year for small businesses.”
All members of LeTip of Manalapan are responsible for regularly exchanging business tips among other members. Only one representative of any given profession is accepted into a chapter, according to the press release.

On Dec. 7, Springpoint Living at Manalapan, the new Springpoint assisted living and memory care community on Woodward Road, Manalapan, hosted a pre-launch party, themed Wishes for Success, to introduce the new community and announce a donation to Make-A-Wish New Jersey.
During the event, held at Battleground Country Club, Manalapan, with 90 guests in attendance, a gift from Springpoint Living at Manalapan was presented to Make-A-Wish New Jersey to help grant the wish of a child with a critical illness, according to a press release.
Make-A-Wish New Jersey creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses and has created more than 11,000 life-changing wishes for children throughout the Garden State since its inception in 1983, according to the press release.
Springpoint Living at Manalapan offers older adults person-centered living that enriches each day, celebrates shared experiences and fosters friendships. From therapeutic gardening and guided meditation to creative arts, social gatherings, evidence-based programs and more, residents are provided meaningful ways to live at their best, and at their own pace, according to the press release.
Center Players Dessert Theater will hold auditions for a production of the world premiere of “A Tomato Can’t Grow in the Bronx” at Center Playhouse, 35 South St., Freehold Borough. The play was written by Gary Morgenstein and will be directed by Bernice Garfield-Szita.
Audition dates are Dec. 17 from 7-9 p.m., and callbacks are on Dec. 19 from
7-9 p.m. Performance dates are Feb. 11-27, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and
Sundays at 2 p.m., according to a press release. This is a non-union, no pay production.
“A Tomato Can’t Grow in the Bronx” is a multi-generational comedy/drama set against the backdrop of the late 1960s. It is a poignant glimpse of a Jewish working class family trying to adjust to the changes in the world around them and their own family conflicts, according to the press release.

Sides from the play will be provided. Those auditioning should bring a resume and headshot if available and proof of COVID vaccination. COVID protocols will be followed; masks will be required when not on stage, and all cast, crew and patrons must be vaccinated, according to the press release.
