Come January, the Cranbury Arts Council will display the exhibit “Connected” by Elaina R. Phillips in the Gourgaud Gallery.
There will be a sampling of her work in various media including watercolor, line art and photography inside of Town Hall at 23 N. Main St. in Cranbury, viewable weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Phillips is a 2021 recipient of the Cranbury Arts Council Scholarship and is currently a student at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers. Her work has been on display at three exhibitions at the Arts Council of Princeton and annual Juried Art Shows in Monroe.
She has been commissioned to paint residential and public properties in Cranbury and Princeton. Phillips has also worked with a local business to provide mockups and ideas for custom graphics, according to a press release.
As a resident of Cranbury, she attended Cranbury School and two of her paintings are on display in the Cranbury School art gallery. Her watercolor painting of the Princeton High School tower hangs in their main office.
In conjunction with the Gourgaud during January, 20% of art sales from Elaina’s show will go to Cranbury Arts Council to support its programs that support the arts in the community. Sales will be accepted through Elaina’s Etsy store and she will be updating it the last week in December with works from the show.
As part of a non-profit Cranbury Arts Council, the Gourgaud Gallery donates 20% of art sales to the Cranbury Arts Council and its programs that support the arts in the community.
