A 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee belonging to a Colfax Road resident was reported stolen from the victim’s driveway Dec. 29. The Jeep was unlocked and the keys were inside the vehicle. The Jeep was recovered within 24 hours in Newark.

A 46-year-old Princeton woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Andover Circle near Blue Spring Road to investigate a suspicious vehicle Dec. 31. The woman failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was taken to the Montgomery Township Police Department headquarters to be processed. She was released, pending an appearance in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.

A 32-year-old Belle Mead man was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, reckless driving, and failure to maintain his lane of travel after a motorist called police to report a suspected intoxicated driver in the area of Green Avenue. The man’s Jeep Grand Cherokee nearly struck the caller’s vehicle as the two vehicles passed each other. The man was taken to the Montgomery Township Police Department headquarters for processing. He was released, pending an appearance in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
