A 24-year-old Irvington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Plainsboro Township after he was stopped by police for a motor vehicle violation on Bear Tavern Road on Jan. 8. He was taken to the Hopewell Township Police Department headquarters for processing and was released pending a hearing in Hopewell Township Municipal Court.

A 36-year-old Princeton man was charged with driving while intoxicated Jan. 9 when police responded to a motor vehicle complaint on Long Way. The investigation revealed that he had been driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the Hopewell Township Police Department headquarters for processing, and released to a friend’s custody pending a hearing in Hopewell Township Municipal Court.

A 34-year-old Hopewell Borough man was arrested on several outstanding warrants issued by Hopewell Borough after he was stopped by police on Pennington Road for a motor vehicle violation Jan. 13. He was taken to the Hopewell Township Police Department headquarters for processing. He was released, pending a hearing in Hopewell Township Municipal Court.

A 57-year-old Delaware man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Camden County after police stopped him for a motor vehicle violation on Bear Tavern Road Jan. 21. He was taken to the Hopewell Township Police Department headquarters for processing, and then taken to the Mercer County Correction Center. The case will be heard in Mercer County Superior Court.

Someone altered and tried to cash a fraudulent check from a Hopewell Township resident’s bank account Jan. 20. The victim told police that the thief tried to cash additional fraudulent checks from his bank account.

A Blake Drive resident told police that someone had fraudulently filed an unemployment claim in the victim’s name. The incident of identity theft was reported Jan. 21.

A 44-year-old Ewing Township man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Hopewell Township when he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Washington Crossing-Pennington Road Jan. 23. He was taken to the Hopewell Township Police Department headquarters for processing and released, pending a hearing in Hopewell Township Municipal Court.
