The man was allegedly found to be in possession of a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun that had been reported stolen from Raleigh County, West Virginia, police said. There was a .40-caliber full metal jacked round in the chamber of the handgun.

The man allegedly had a 14-round high capacity magazine and 13 hollow point .40 caliber rounds in his possession, police said.

The man was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and recovered stolen property, police said.

He was also charged with possession of hollow point ammunition, certain persons not to have weapons and possession of a high capacity magazine, police said.
