Sherriese Anderson, a veteran educator, has been appointed interim assistant principal at Princeton High School for the remainder of the school year.

The Princeton Public Schools Board of Education named Anderson to fill in for Assistant Principal Stephanie Greenberg, who is on leave, at its April 26 meeting.

Anderson’s term as interim assistant principal began April 25 and will end June 30. She will be paid $350 per day. She is one of three assistant principals at Princeton High School.

“I look forward to working with the students. I like to see students thriving in a school culture that promotes social and emotional well-being, as well as academic achievement,” Anderson said.

Anderson’s career in education spans more than 19 years. She has been a school social worker and also served as the supervisor for Special Services in the Lakewood Public Schools.

She has been an assistant principal at the Somerset County Educational Services Commission, and also worked as the Human Resources coordinator in the East Brunswick Public Schools.

Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgian Court University and a master’s degree in social work from Monmouth University. She received the degree of Ed.D. in educational leadership from the Fishler School of Education at Nova Southeastern University.
